I fully plan to give my first version a try as well. Additionally, students learn the structured sport of disc golf and play a short game. (obviously i don't know the flight characteristics yet.)

Anyways was curious if anyone in this community has any pointers for designing these?Ĭurrent specs for the expected disc are 165 gram and about 8" diameter. 4 x 6 cm can be scaled, but would be thick if printed larger. 0.05 mm Ultra-high Accuracy Affordable Scanning 3D Printing Exclusive.

Attached is a picture of my first version of a distance driver currently as of the time of this post there's about 15 hours left (out of 18 hours) in the print. 77101 3d models found related to mini disc golf. golf trophy STL Files for 3D Printers Golf Ball Trophy Shiest Golfer Crown Shittiest Golfer Golf Trophy Golf Trophy - Triple Tee Disc Golf Trophy. Wasserman Park Disc Golf Course - Merrimack, NH. I have a good understanding of CAD and 3D printing, not so much of fluid dynamics and gyroscopic physics. Update!: The disc preformed admirably i was able to drive it 100-150ft (same distance I can throw normal distance drivers) myself very easily (when the wind wasn't messing things up and i wasn't mis-throwing lol), It did pick up a small fracture in the top layer of the top flight plate but no other damage could be found. So my roommates have slowly been getting me into disc golf and I got the bright idea to design and print my own discs. Once it is in a 3D format, the drafting is much easier. First Flights, First thrower Ed managed about 100ft but a strong wind forced it down, Second thrower James managed about 200+ ft (almost as far as his normal distance driver throws) Also the top is grey because i sprayed it with primer. depending on the file format you did these in in autocad, it could be compatible with solid works, and turning it into a 3D file would be as simple as cutting the drawing in half, and making it an object of revolution around an axis.
